One of the most interesting games of round 34 was a derby match between two teams from Belgium. Third rankedOostende outleveled visiting Circus Brussels (18-16) 84-53 . Oostende outrebounded Brussels 44-26 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Oostende players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Brussels ' players. American center Max Fiedler (211-2001, college: Rice) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Marcus Domask (198-2000, college: Illinois) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Five Oostende players scored in double figures. Oostende's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points and 4 steals by American guard Jomaru Brown (188-1999, college: Coastal) did not help to save the game for Brussels . Louis Hazard (198-1994) added 11 points for lost side. Defending Belgian champion (25-9) moved-up to second place, which they share with Aalst. Brussels at the other side keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with ZZ Leiden.
